Trains have again started moving past the spot in Hancock County’s Cass Township where a Norfolk Southern ethanol train derailed and burned early Sunday, but a railroad spokesman said cleanup is likely to take weeks to complete.

Damaged track was repaired with temporary rail, and trains will travel at reduced speeds until permanent repairs are made.

All of the denatured ethanol that remained in tank cars after the crash has been removed, the spokesman said, but wreckage remains at the scene pending salvage or scrapping.
