ROANOKE, Va. — Norfolk Southern is reaching back to its Roanoke roots for its new ad campaign.
The rail company is using a helicopter to film the area’s train attractions.
That includes aerial footage of operations at Shaffer’s Crossing and beauty shots in Natural Bridge.
“The idea behind that is trying to reach the public and interested parties, let people know that Norfolk Southern brings a lot of vital goods that they may not be aware of. Besides the big stuff such as coal and grain and things like that,” said Kim Cloutman.
Filming is being handled by Stage Sound in Roanoke.
It should take about six days to complete.
The new ad campaign is expected to be out in October.
