CLEVELAND, July 26 — BLET National Secretary-Treasurer Bill Walpert announced that he has good news for Secretary-Treasurers.
“The Internal Revenue Service is sending out notices regarding a new form 944,” Walpert said. “Those receiving this notice are instructed to file the 944 instead of the 941, which means less work for Secretary-Treasurers!”
The 944 is an Annual Federal Employer’s Tax Return which cuts down the amount of paperwork required. Please note, you can only file this form if the IRS sends the notice.
The National Division will be contacting them to find out the guidelines and hopefully many monthly filers will be switched to an Annual Federal Income Tax Return.
