WASHINGTON, DC — National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Ellen Engleman-Conners has announced that the NTSB is launching a team of rail and highway investigators to the scene of a reported grade crossing accident earlier today on the Long Island Rail Road in New York.
The team is expected to arrive on scene later this evening to begin its investigation. Updated information on the progress of the investigation will be released periodically.
