MTA Metro-North Railroad and MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) have improved the safety of their commuter-rail systems by implementing safety recommendations from the National Transportation Safety Board’s (NTSB) “Most Wanted List” of safety improvements, the federal agency announced yesterday.
