WASHINGTON, D.C. — As part of its continuing investigation into the December 1, 2013 Metro-North Railroad accident that occurred in The Bronx, New York, the National Transportation Safety Board has opened the public docket.
The southbound train, which consisted of seven passenger cars and one locomotive, derailed on the Metro-North Hudson Line. Four individuals were killed as a result of the derailment and dozens of others were injured.
The information released is factual in nature and does not provide any analysis. Included in the docket are crew interview transcripts, engineer medical information, rules compliance testing records, and track inspection and signal records.
