WILMINGTON, Del. — President-elect Barack Obama’s inaugural train will stop in Wilmington about 1 p.m. Saturday.

The train leaves Philadelphia around noon Saturday and will stop in Wilmington to pick up Vice President-elect Joe Biden and his family before deaprting for Baltimore and Washington.

A ceremony is planned for Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, next to the Amtrak station. Gates open at 9:30 a.m.

Citizens attending the event are asked to bring a canned good to be donated to the needy.

The train is expected to leave Wilmington station about 2 p.m.
