JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mr. Wayne Edenfield, 53, of Macclenny, Fla. died Wednesday, May 7, in the Memorial Health University Medical Center, Savannah, Ga. from injuries received in an accident.

Mr. Edenfield was a native of Reidsville, Ga. and had resided in Rincon, Ga. before moving to Macclenny, Fla. in 1987. He was a 30 year railroad veteran, and had 17 years of service as a locomotive engineer with Amtrak the National Railroad Passenger Corporation.

He was a loving husband and father and a deacon and Sunday school teacher with the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Fla. He was the son of the late Rodney Vaughn Edenfield.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Edenfield of Macclenny, Fla.: Two daughters, Mckenzie Edenfield and Whitney Edenfield both of Macclenny, Fla.: One son, Travis Edenfield of Macclenny, Fla.: His mother, Doris Edenfield of Reidsville, Ga.: Two sisters, Renae Edenfield Driggers and her husband Eddie of Augusta, Ga. and Rhonda Edenfield James and her husband Richard of Reidsville, Ga.: Several nieces and nephews and an abundance of loving friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday, May 10, in the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Fla. with Dr. Edsel Bone, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, May 9, at the First Baptist Church, Macclenny, Fla. with GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Fla.
