BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — A Lyndhurst police officer who, though injured himself, helped rescue people from the wreckage of an Amtrak train in Philadelphia last year was recognized on Friday by a national law enforcement organization that gave him an award for “exemplary law enforcement service.”
