NEMOURS, W.Va. — A Norfolk Southern rail line is expected to be back on track and a local road reopened today after clean-up operations are complete from a 20-car derailment Sunday night, officials said Monday afternoon.

The derailment occurred near the site of the old Cricket Tavern in the small community of Bluestone in Mercer County, Sgt. M.R. Crowder, with the Princeton Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, said.

Monday morning, derailed cars could be seen toppled over at the accident site. A container car carrying corn or soybean meal appeared to have almost broken in two, spilling the load alongside the derailed cars.
