During the week of June 24-28, the BLET’s Ohio State Legislative Board held its first training class for Ohio-based Division Legislative Representatives (LRs) in the state’s capital, Columbus. LRs learned about the Ohio political structure, how bills become law in Ohio, what their role in the Division is, and how to help their members with health, safety, and regulatory issues. Ohio State Legislative Board Chairman John Esterly said the LRs met with various Ohio Representatives and Senators, attended committee hearings, and watched a portion of a House Session.
