BONNERS FERRY, Idaho — Burlington Northern Santa Fe officials report that crews have removed one of the two locomotives that went over an embankment and into the Kootenai River about three miles east of the Idaho/Montana line on New Year’s Day, and work is getting underway to remove the lead engine from which the two man crew was rescued as it was sinking.
