On June 22, Operation Lifesaver Inc. is observed International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD) to raise awareness of grade crossing safety.
ILCAD stresses educational measures and promotes safe motorist and pedestrian behavior at and around crossings worldwide.
“These rail safety education initiatives remind drivers and pedestrians to avoid distractions,” said Operation Lifesaver President Helen Sramek in a prepared statement.
