ORLANDO — This week, federal investigators blamed CSX Transportation, in part, for the train derailment that killed four people and left more than 100 injured near Crescent City last year.
One industry expert noted that CSX’s push to save money — by scrimping on track maintenance — might have been an issue.
Does this make you mad? Do you want to vent at the CSX CEO?
Well, he works for you now.
Eight months after the accident, President Bush tapped CSX leader John Snow to work for him — and the American people — as the nation’s treasury secretary.
By the way, Snow’s commitment to moneymaking paid off. When he resigned from CSX to take his Cabinet post, he received $60.8 million in cash, stock and pension money.
