STAMFORD, Conn. — Without a doubt, 2013 was the worst year in Metro-North’s New Haven Line management — marked by derailments, power outages and, sadly, the accidental death of a track worker in West Haven. Metro-North Railroad, operator of the New Haven rail line — America’s busiest commuter line — has new leadership and is making a renewed commitment to safety, customer service, satisfaction, and communications. The State of Connecticut as the owner of that line, must make sure that Metro-North is held accountable to riders.
