LA JOLLA, Calif. — The La Jolla Light newspaper recently published an opinion column by Lynn Schenk, Vice Chair of the California High-Speed Rail Authority Board of Directors. She writes, in part, that: “Why else do Californians support high-speed rail? It’ll improve air quality, lessen congestion on our roads and support transportation needs for our state’s rapid population growth.”
