PHILADELPHIA – A power outage during Thursday’s evening rush hour stopped all of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s commuter rail service for more than an hour.

A SEPTA spokesman said there was problem was with an electrical feed from Amtrak. Although the outage shut down all of the commuter rail lines, subway and trolley service was not affected.

The transit agency advised passengers that they might experience delays throughout Thursday evening, but said normal service should be restored by Friday morning.
