NEWARK, N.J. — Rail service is temporarily suspended all over the busy Northeast Corridor for the second time in less than two weeks because of an Amtrak power problem.

A call to the railroad has not been returned.

NJ Transit says the problem is affecting Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast Line and Midtown Direct trains. Philadelphia’s Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority says all its rail service is temporarily suspended.

Meanwhile, Long Island Rail Road commuters are facing significant delays as the railroad works to fix damage from a switching station fire Monday. The LIRR says 33 westbound morning trains are canceled Tuesday.
