CLEVELAND, October 30 — A copy of the BLE’s tentative national contract with the National Carriers Conference Committee should be posted on the BLE website by the end of next week, BLE International President Don Hahs reported.
The language of the proposed agreement is not finalized, which is why it has not been made available.
“Right now it is in the hands of the railroads’ attorneys and our attorneys so they can wordsmith the final document,” President Hahs said. “When completed, it will be placed on the BLE website and sent out for ratification according to the Constitution & Bylaws.”
The agreement will be mailed to all General Chairmen and Local Chairmen before it is released on the website, per Section 43(a)–Standing Rules of the BLE Constitution & Blaws.
The proposed contract covers work rules, wages and health care.
