NEWARK, N.J. — Officials say a signal and switching outage that delayed train traffic between New York and New Jersey has been fixed.
Amtrak spokeswoman Karina Romero says all train traffic using Amtrak rails at Manhattan’s Pennsylvania Station was halted for a 44-minute period that ended at 10:24 a.m. Monday. Some trains were delayed more than an hour.
The problem delayed 12 Amtrak trains and several dozen NJ Transit trains from the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Midtown Direct lines.
