OSAWATOMIE, Kan. — Osawatomie will honor its Missouri and Union Pacific Railroad employees and retirees during Railroad Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Osawatomie. The days events will include many family fun activities which will start with the Running the Rails for a Reason 5K Run/Walk that begin at 9 a.m., and will start and finish at the Osawatomie History Museum/Railroad Depot Museum at 628 Main Street, which benefits Tri Ko. Other activities at the Osawatomie History Museum/Railroad Depot include a Museum Expo, at which area museums will set up displays and will also feature model railroad displays. The Osawatomie Fire Department Fire Truck will also be on display across the street from the Osawatomie History Museum/ Railroad Depot.
