SCRANTON, Pa. — A search for former employees of the Central Railroad of New Jersey is under way by the railroad’s employees association.

This is the 100th anniversary of the association — the country’s oldest railroad employee association — and its membership base is over 400.

The group is seeking former employees of the railroad whether they are members or not.

Any person who worked one or more days for the railroad any time before April 1, 1976, is eligible. Dues is $3 per year.

Anyone who would like to join should send dues and an address to CRR of NJ Vets Association, P.O. Box 6412, Bridgewater, N.J., 08807-0412.

Anyone with old photos or other items from the railroad is asked to contact 100th anniversary book author and association secretary Frank Reilly, 460 Elm St., Stirling, N.J., 07980.
