NEW YORK — Shares of some top railroads companies were up at the close of trading:
CSX rose $.98 or 1.9 percent, to $51.26.
Canadian National rose $1.44 or 2.4 percent, to $61.60.
Canadian Pacific rose $1.34 or 2.3 percent, to $58.68.
Kansas City Southern rose $.51 or 1.5 percent, to $34.90.
Norfolk Southern rose $.93 or 1.7 percent, to $55.48.
Union Pacific rose $1.76 or 2.4 percent, to $74.85.
