HOUSTON — A railroad switchman was killed when a train hit him on Sunday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A Union Pacific employee at the scene on Bay Area Boulevard near Port Road said the switchman told an engineer to move some of the train cars back.

The switchman tripped and fell on the tracks, the employee said. The man, whose identity was not released, died when the cars ran over him.
