RACELAND, Ky. — A 52-year-old railroad worker was fatally crushed between two rail cars in Greenup County Saturday morning.
William L. Worsham got pinned between two cars during a routine switching movement at a CSX rail yard, said Gary Sease, a spokesman for CSX. Worsham died at the scene. He was on the end of a moving locomotive when it hit a parked rail car.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
A call came in to Greenup County 911 at 1:04 a.m. EDT, prompting the Raceland Fire Department, Greenup EMS and Worthington and Raceland police to respond.
Sease said there was no indication of foul play.
