Railroads, pipelines at capacity moving big volumes of U.S. oil

TULSA, Okla. — The shale drilling boom is bringing historic volumes of U.S. oil to the surface, but there’s not enough transportation capacity to move it quickly to refineries, ports and storage facilities. Many midstream companies, traditional and otherwise, are trying to fill the gap at a furious pace.
