CLEVELAND, May 23 — The registration deadline for the BLET’s 84th annual Southeastern Meeting Association is coming up and members are encouraged to make their reservations as soon as possible. The 2011 SMA will be held in Asheville, N.C., from June 12-17, 2011.
As an incentive, those who register prior to May 31 will be entered into a drawing to receive one of two gift cards provided by the Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Additionally, the deadline for hotel reservations has been extended from May 16 to May 27, 2011. Guests will stay at the Doubletree Biltmore Hotel in the historic Biltmore Village. The room rate for the meeting is $119 per night and includes free internet and parking. Room reservations must be made by May 31 in order to secure the reduced rate. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-222-TREE (8733).
Local Chairman Dewey R. Brown, his wife Christie, and BLET Division 267 are hosting this year’s SMA.
On-site registration begins on Sunday, June 12, and the dinner banquet is slated for the evening of Thursday, June 16. June 17 is the travel day.
