CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The resurgence of coal shipments, fueled in part by an improving export market, is paying off in West Virginia.
“In the last eight months, the Pocahontas Division, which covers West Virginia and parts of Western Virginia, hired 124 employees and anticipates hiring about the same number in 2011 to handle increased traffic,” said Robin Chapman, a spokesperson for Norfolk Southern.
