Our son, who works in Stamford, emailed precise directions for the best way to get to that train station. I printed them out, and my husband scanned them carefully before doing his own intent search on Google Maps. The next morning, as we headed south on Route 7, I casually inquired, “So, you know where we’re going?” “Sure, he responded blithely. “We’ll head south until we see train tracks, and then we’ll follow them.” Despite this haphazard beginning, we actually got to the station in plenty of time and managed to work out the parking issue without refinancing the house, as long as my husband made it back within the first hour.
