PITTSBURGH, Pa. — A Scott man accused of throwing rocks and bricks from an overpass onto cars on the Parkway West pleaded no contest this week to 40 criminal charges.
Jeffrey A. Ramous, 50, will be sentenced May 11 by Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Edward J. Borkowski.
Ramous will only be sentenced on one count of aggravated assault. He was charged in March 2007 with throwing more than 100 bricks and rocks from the Norfolk Southern railroad trestle during the previous two years, hitting 12 vehicles and injuring four people. He confessed to state police during an interview, according to court documents.
