RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Residents living near the BNSF rail yard in San Bernardino, Calif., have complained for years that diesel pollution is harming their health. The San Bernardino rail yard has been considered the dirtiest in California. In 2008, the California Air Resources Board found it posed the greatest cancer risk of any train yard in the state.
