WASHINGTON, D.C. — A scary incident on NJ Transit over the weekend came like a dagger from the sky to remind Americans that their transportation infrastructure, particularly for aging trains and subways, is in poor shape. Actually, it was part of a metal bracket that pierced the roof of a train carrying passengers through the Hudson River tunnels on the way to New York about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
