MARLIN, Texas — Global Rail Systems, Inc. (www.globalrailsystems.com), which is headquartered in Marlin Texas, announced that Thomas L. Schlosser has joined the company as chief executive officer, effective April 2, 2007.

Schlosser formerly was president of ParkSierra Rail Group and senior vice president of operations for RailAmerica. “This is an exciting opportunity and I’m very pleased to be part of a company with such great products and people,” Schlosser said.

He and former ParkSierra Chairman David L. Parkinson have become investors in Global Rail Systems and will also become directors of the company. “We believe very strongly in Global’s commitment to rail safety and the quality of their company,” said Parkinson. “We’re excited about the potential.”

Co-founded in 2002 by President Coy Beaman, Global Rail Systems is an innovative railway automation company, which implements cost-effective ideas to improve railway safety and operations by applying advanced electro-mechanical wireless technology.

Beaman noted, “Railroad safety and security remain major transportation issues and Global’s suite of products addresses those in a reliable, affordable way for both Class I and short-line railroads.” He noted, “The addition of Dave and Tom to our team will enhance our credibility, provide respected investment savvy, and strengthen the customer-driven focus of our company.”

Global also announced that Brad Taylor, an experienced technology executive and original investor in the company, becomes chief financial officer. Taylor was instrumental in representing Global in the investment transaction.

Ron Martin will continue to head up the sales and marketing team as its vice president. He also assumes responsibility for the company’s long-term strategic growth plan.
