PHILADELPHIA — The anniversary of the Amtrak derailment today is bringing more attention to the automatic braking system experts say would have kept the train on the tracks, Positive Train Control. SEPTA didn’t quite get PTC online at the end of last year as it hoped, but on April 18 the transportation agency activated PTC for the first time on the Warminster Line.
