(Baltimore television station WJZ posted the following story on its website on September 25.)
BALTIMORE — Pelting rains from Tropical Storm Isabel and Tuesday’s strong storms caused an enormous sinkhole to open up in Frederick near Interstate-70.
MARC Train services usually run near the massive sinkhole, but the railroad says it wants to watch conditions for another day before allowing the trains to run.
Passengers who normally ride at the Frederick station can board busses at 5 a.m., 6 a.m., and 7 a.m. They will be transported to the Monocacy station, where trains will depart at regular times.
