NORTHWOOD, Ohio — Traffic was delayed last night near Wales and Droulliard roads in Northwood because part of a 135-car Norfolk Southern freight train derailed near Walbridge, Robin Chapman, spokesman for the railroad, said.
Drivers were forced to avoid the railroad crossings near the intersection from 4:30 p.m., when about six cars of the westbound mixed-freight train went off the tracks, until approximately 7:30 p.m. when the problem was cleared up, Northwood police said.
