DENTON, Mont. — Maybe the little engine that could won’t ever again. For 20 years, the roar of the Central Montana Rail echoed through this high plains valley as the aging locomotives of this scrappy nonprofit railroad hauled grain along 87 miles of track that BNSF Railway wouldn’t service.
