Seattle-area rail passengers are taking the bus after a large mudslide near Everett, Wash., earlier this week. Service should resume shortly, however.
BNSF Railway spokesman Gus Melonas said the early morning slide was cleared at about 10:30 a.m. and freight lines were open, but passenger trains must stay off the tracks for 48 hours after a slide as a precaution.
