SEATTLE, Wash. — Commuters who use Sound Transit’s Northline Sounder train and Amtrak between Seattle and Everett will still need to use bus alternatives Thursday morning due to a mudslide that halted all passenger rail service between Seattle and Everett.
On Tuesday, a mudslide blocked the BNSF Railway line about eight miles south of Edmonds.
The earliest the trains will be back on schedule is this evening, a Sound Transit spokesman said. Check www.soundtransit.org for updates and bus alternatives.
