EVERETT, Wash. — On Wednesday night, a Sounder commuter train from Seattle to Everett was delayed for about an hour and half, and officials are still investigating the cause of that delay.

The Sounder, which uses Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks from Seattle to Everett, came to an “immediate and sudden stop,” railroad spokesman Gus Melonas said.

Melonas didn’t say which Sounder train was delayed. There are two evening Sounder trains to Everett,which leave Seattle at 4:33 p.m. and 5:13 p.m.

“We are investigating with the train crew,” Melonas said.

Sultan: Vandalism suspect, 20, arrested

Police arrested a man who reportedly broke out windows at businesses and left behind a trail of blood Wednesday night.

An officer found a vandalized car near the Chevron gas station in Sultan, checked and found shattered glass at the Sky Valley Medical Clinic and The Coffee Box. The man, 20, was found at the gas station, where he allegedly shoplifted food. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of burglary and malicious mischief.
