NEWARK, N.J. — After enduring criticism for only having four voting members to approve important issues and spending, NJ Transit’s board of directors is finally getting reinforcements. The state senate voted 40-0 to confirm four nominees to the troubled transit agency’s board, who were vetted by the State Senate Judiciary Committee earlier before Monday’s voting session.
