OTTAWA — One possible offshoot of all the interest in Canadian Pacific Railway stemming from the proxy battle brewing between the management of Canadian Pacific Railway and activist investor Bill Ackman is the impact on the company’s stock-based compensation program as shares push higher in the coming months.
CP, along with Canadian National Railway and Norfolk Southern Corp., have stock-based compensation programs that are sensitive to changes in the stock price.
