ALBANY, N.Y. — Storm damage in the Hudson Valley has disrupted Amtrak train service between New York City and Albany.
Amtrak said storms in the region blew trees down onto the tracks, closing them and causing the cancellation of some trains and the combination of others on the Empire Service, which connects New York City and Buffalo.
Service is expected to affected into Tuesday. Passengers — especially those on trains travelling between New York City and Buffalo/Niagara Falls — are encouraged to call 800-USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak.com for schedule information and train status updates.
Service between New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C., was not directly affected by the storm damage.
