BUFFALO, N.Y. — Federal authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information about whoever tried to derail an Amtrak train earlier this week on the Seneca Nation’s Cattaraugus Reservation.

The reward is for information that leads to a conviction for whoever was responsible for putting railroad ties on CSX tracks. An Amtrak train struck the obstruction Monday, but no one was serious injured.

Anyone with information should call the Buffalo FBI at 856-7800.
