CLEVELAND, August 15 — Alternate hotel arrangements have been made for BLET members who plan to attend the Southwestern Convention Meeting (SWCM) in St. Louis next month.
Alternate arrangements became necessary when the BLET block of rooms at the St. Louis Hilton at the Ballpark became booked. SWCM Chairman Dave Grimes reports that the BLET has secured an additional block of rooms at The Millennium Hotel, which is within easy walking distance of the Hilton in downtown St. Louis.
Room rates at the Millennium Hotel are $135.00 per night, and reservations can be made by calling: (866) 866-8086 or (314) 241-9500. When calling, be sure to ask for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers rate.

Brother Grimes still asks that anyone who currently has a room at the Hilton but has to cancel the reservation to please contact him so he can make the cancellation for you. He will be able to make sure the room goes to someone coming to the SWCM instead of going back into the hotel inventory.
Chairman Grimes also reminds members to submit their registration forms soon — they must be postmarked by August 29 to avoid a late charge. Reservations are available on the SWCM website:
