TAMPA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation has trimmed $25.8 million from the Florida seaports work program because of statewide revenue shortfalls, including $1.84 million the Port of Tampa requested to fund railroad improvements.
Both Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport escaped FDOT cuts in the short term, but FDOT officials said long-range requests were still under study.
