(The International Brotherhood of Teamsters issued the following news release on November 23.)
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Teamsters Canada and United Parcel Service (UPS) have reached a tentative agreement, ending a 24-hour strike.
According to Teamsters Canada, the union’s negotiating team decided that the company’s latest offer is acceptable. This offer will be submitted to the members shortly for approval.
Picket lines are being taken down today, and work will resume Wednesday at UPS centers throughout Canada.
The Teamsters Union represents about 3,800 members at UPS throughout Canada.
