CLEVELAND, June 21 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members who live in Illinois, Massachusetts and Vermont after severe storms, tornadoes and flooding caused major damage to homes and property.
Available from the BLET website are Teamster “Disaster Alert Notices” and “Request for Help” forms. If you have experienced a loss due to extreme weather, please download and fill out the forms, or call the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at (202) 624-8971.
In Illinois, members in the following counties are eligible to apply for assistance: Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hardin, Jackson, Lawrence, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, White and Williamson.

In Massachusetts, members who live in Hampden or Worchester counties are eligible to apply for aid.

In all three states, the forms — including all requested documentation — are due by Monday, August 1, 2011.
