CLEVELAND, May 24 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members in Missouri after severe storms, tornadoes and flooding caused major damage to homes and property on April 19, 2011.
Assistance is available to members who live in the following Missouri counties: Butler, Cap Girardeau, Howell, Jasper, McDonald, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pulaski, Ripley, Saint Louis, Scott, Stoddard, Stone and Taney.
Available from the BLET website is a Teamster “Disaster Alert Notice” and “Request for Help” form. If you have experienced a loss due to extreme weather, please download and fill out the forms, or call the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at (202) 624-8971.
The forms — including all requested documentation — are due by Monday, June 27, 2011.

To help increase awareness of this valuable benefit, members who live and work in the affected areas are asked to print and post these “Disaster Relief Notices” at their places of work.
