CLEVELAND, October 14 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members who live in North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Texas after severe weather caused damage to homes and property.

Available from the BLET website are Teamster “Disaster Relief Alert Notices” and “request for help” forms. If you live in the affected area and experienced a loss due to extreme weather, please download and fill out the forms. For questions, contact the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at (202) 624-8971.

In North Dakota, members in the following counties are eligible to apply for assistance: Barnes, Burleigh, McHenry, Morton, Ramsey, Renville, Richland, Spirit Lake Reservation, and Ward.

The deadline for members in North Dakota to apply for assistance is December 5, 2011.

In Pennsylvania, members in the following counties are eligible to apply for assistance: Adams, Bradford, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuykill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Union, Wyoming and York.

In Texas, members in the following counties are eligible to apply for assistance: Bastrop, Cass, Colorado, Gregg, Grimes, Houston, Leon, Marion, Montgomery, Travis, Walker, Waller and Williamson.

To help increase awareness of this valuable benefit, members who live and work in the affected areas are asked to print and post these Disaster Relief Notices at their places of work.
